Who I am

Clay & Code is a web design business based in the West Midlands and working with businesses across the UK. I'm responsible for the personal information you send through this website.

What I collect

When you fill in the enquiry form, I receive your name, business name, email address, phone number (if you give it), your current website and your message.

Why I use it

Only to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and, if you become a client, to deliver and look after your website. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing that contract.

Who else sees it

The form is handled by Netlify, which hosts this website. I don't sell your information or use it for marketing lists.

How long I keep it

If you don't become a client, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. Client records are kept for 6 years, as required for tax.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you by emailing hello@clayandcode.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and visitor numbers

This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. I may count visits with a privacy-friendly tool that doesn't use cookies or follow you across other websites.

WhatsApp and booking a call

If you message me on WhatsApp or book a call through a booking link, that service handles your details under its own privacy policy, and I use them only to reply to you.
